The speaker of this passage would have been Richard Nixon since he would have given the speech, however, he was not the one who wrote it. The audience of this speech would have been the general mass since he would have to give the speech in front of millions of people. The subject of this speech is the death of the voyagers only if they had died on the moon. This text appeals to ethos by how it states that the men will stay on the moon and gave the names of the voyagers.
