Lonnie Franklin Jr., also known as The “Grim Sleeper,” is a convicted serial killer and is responsible for ten murders and one attempted murder between 1985 and 2007. The killer was given the name “Grim Sleeper,” for his 14-year break from his killings from 1988 to 2002. The killings took place in south Los Angeles, California, where Franklin was born on August 30, 1952. His earliest crime was in 1974, when Franklin was in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.

He was born in El Paso, Texas on February 29, 1960. He was born in Mexico City to Mercedes Ramirez and Julian Ramirez, the fifth of six children.
Joseph DeAngleo, also known as the Golden State Killers, was a serial killer, rapist, and stalker during the 1970s and 1980s. From 1976 to 1979, more than 40 rapes were committed in northern California by an assailant called East Area Rapist. From 1979 to 1986, a serial killer by the name of the Original Night Stalker killed 10 people. In 2001, DNA analysis determined that all these crimes were committed by the same perpetrator. The “Golden State Killer” was the labeled name, given by crime writer Michelle McNamara.
The relentless media and police pressure, aided with descriptions from his surviving victims, forced Ramirez to leave the L.A. area that August. He journeyed north to San Francisco, where he took two more victims, Peter and Barbara Pan, on August 17. His unmistakable M.O., complete with Satanic symbolism, meant that the "Valley Intruder" moniker was no longer applicable; the press quickly coined a new name, the "Night Stalker," as most of his assaults took place at night in his victims'

During the times of 1972 to 1978, John Wayne Gacy Jr. killed 33 people in the Chicago area. He was known for raping, torturing, then strangling his victims (SC4). Then he would dispose of the bodies by either dumping them into a river or hiding them beneath his house. He wasn't caught until after the murder of his final victim in 1978. Then he became one of the most famous serial killers in American history.
Giles de Rais was one of the first serial killers ever. He was born sometime in 1405 in September/October. 1 He passed away in 1440 on Oct 26. 1
All of these occasions were spread throughout the year. He admitted to killing 6 young female hitchhikers. He would pick the females up, drive them to an isolated area, strangle, stab, and shoot them. He would choose his victims by the either the kind of day he was having or if the females were mean or humiliating just like his mother. This would fall under being a “kidnap murder”.
William George Bonin, also known as the Freeway Killer, became a part of America's long list of serial killers. After he kidnapped, raped, and murdered fourteen teenage boys between 1979 ans 1980. With the help of his four accomplices; Vernon Butts, Gregory M. Miley, William Ray Pugh, and James Micheal Munro, Bonin stalked Los Angeles County for boys that fell between the ages twelve and nineteen. The first victim in a long list of lives lost was Marcus Grabs, a seventeen year old German student traveling the United States. Marcus was stabbed a total of seventy seven times, sodomized and strangled to death.
Dubbed the Valley Intruder or Night Stalker, Ricardo Leyva Munoz Ramirez famously known as Richard Ramirez, struck fear through the bones of many during his serial killing spree in the mid-eighties. Ramirez killed at least fourteen people in his spree while raping and torturing many more. His criminal beginnings turned to violence in June of 1984 with his first known slaying of 79-year-old Jennie Vincow. Vincow was sexually assaulted, stabbed and ultimately killed in her home. Authorities had not yet caught Ramirez after this brutal homicide, therefore he was free to continue his spree on countless more helpless victims.
“A clown can get away with murder” (John Wayne Gacy). “John Wayne Gacy is a notorious serial killer, known for his attention toward young men.” John was a middle-aged construction contractor with the company, PDM Contractors. Before he became a killer, he had a record of violence and perverse assault on teens. His wife, Marlynn Gacy, seemed to have condoned his sexual appeal to boys and went as far as to engage in acts with him.
The very first murder he was linked to would have been the first one he would of committed. This murder took place in Santa Barbara on June 4th, 1963. The young victims were couple Robert Domingos and his betrothed Linda Edwards. The couple had decided to participate in their senior ditch day, so they went sunbathing at a beach near Gaviota State Park. When they didn’t return by the next morning, Robert’s father went looking for them.
