His family took pride in their accomplishments and their efforts to stop slavery. Robert fought and was wounded in the civil war and battled the K.K.K. for the right to vote. Murray put pride in this and her family’s accomplishments to combat slavery. His fighting shows a lot of the political turmoil that was happening at the time and the views that African Americans have towards their progress. Much like Cornelia, Robert’s parents were a mix of African American and White.
Robert Smalls, an American politician and Civil War hero, was born on April 5th, 1839, in the town of Beaufort, South Carolina. He was born to a house slave named Lydia Polite during that time. His father is believed to be Henry McKee, who is the son of the plantation owner. On some occasions, Robert frequently ignored his night curfew and went to stay with his white friends, much to his mother’s and father’s disappointment.
He grew up near Savannah. When he was still a kid his mom and dad broke up. During World War I his mother found a German and then they got married. After the war was over, his mom got married and they fought about who would get Robert.
Mysterious being happens all the time in the world. Someone people choose to overlook what happens and others take the opportunity to ask questions even if it’s not answer; sometime the crazy part about leaving things unspoken are okay. The less someone knows about the mysterious doing the better it is. Unless guilt takes over, and when that happens everything changes. Authors of picture books use various elements to appeal to the audience. Marisa Montes’ statement “The best picture books are warm, humorous, and can be read again and again. There must be something new to take away each time you read it. It has to hold up to multiple readings. There must be substance, depth and layering” is not true in every case because not every picture book will contain all of these elements.
In the book Life as We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer, the psychological lens can be used to take a closer look at the main character Miranda’s mannerisms and how they change throughout the book. The psychological lens is used to look at how people or characters think and why they think/act the way they do. For example, at the beginning of the book, Miranda is quite happy-go-lucky and is mostly in a good mood. In the weeks leading up to the moon shift, she became less nervous than others around her because she had just been annoyed with her teachers for giving her homework on the moon and the reason she wasn’t as worried was that she tended to suppress her emotions in a way that shows she doesn’t care. In the book The Life All Around Me by Ellen Foster by Kaye Gibbons, Ellen is an orphan who must overcome the death of her mother and the suicide of her father. While she must overcome her grief, she is inevitably bound to go to Harvard University, the only conundrum is that she has no money whatsoever to pay for her well-deserved education. The short story The Love of My Life, written by T. Coraghessan Boyle, is about a high school couple in love and they did everything together while having good relationships with each other ’s parents. The couple, China and Jeremy, were always together living a movie relationship as the perfect couple. For the spring break of their senior year they decided it was a good idea to go up the mountains by themselves, not knowing the consequences they were going to have to face later on. Morrison’s novel is divided into nine sections. The novel’s chapters have been named after the women who narrate their stories. The novel follows Morrison’s polyphonictechnique of narration that implies the inclusion of many voices ratherthan one narrative voice. In this vein, Lisa Cade Wieland states that “Morrison often employs multiple narratives voices in a single text” (240). The novel traces a story of a community called Ruby.

The Last Child in the Woods, written by Richard Louv, tells the unimaginable truth of how advertisements are changing the outside world, and because of it, parents are giving up their values of “less technology” for a little peace and quiet. Whether they were good choices or not so good choices, we have learned something from them nonetheless. In the movie Little Women a historical fiction movie produced by Gillian Armstrong, all of the sisters made choices that we can all learn from.
Literary Essay In the story “ Aaron’s gift” by “Myron Levoy” Aaron was a young boy who found a pigeon, and since his grandmother’s birthday was coming up, he thought it would be the perfect gift. “Myron Levoy” Answered the question “What would you do for your family?” showed Aaron taking care of the pigeon and helping it get better, and being so thoughtful for his grandmother. “Aaron had leaped right across the fire at Carl, Taking him by complete surprise.”
One may wonder how has the Big Bang Theory came about? Who created this controversial topic that has created multiple shows, newspaper articles and more? The Big Bang Theory or the “beginning of time” theory is still to this day an ongoing hot topic that has people questioning how, what and when? Well it all started with the creator of this concept by a Belgian cosmologist and Catholic Priest born in the 1800’s, by the name of George Lemaitre. Writing a paper in 1931 he came up with his own abstraction to the Big Bang Theory that eventually expanding out to further research.
