The Lu Family
The Lu Family a Chinese traditional feudal family lived in Shanghai. They own a bank and have a very good reputation in The Bund because of Mr. and Mrs. Lu’s kindness.

Characters and Their Personalities
Arlen Smith
Arlen Smith is the younger son of the Smith family who is very mild and genteel. He is crazy about painting and enjoys designing the jewelry for his father’s store.
Pingyao Lu陆平遥
Pingyao Lu is the second child of the Lu family. She is a little rebellious and less tolerate with the feudal traditions.
Edmund Smith
Edmund is the elder son of the Lu family. He is a chauvinist, truculent and pretty mean to Chinese people. He wants to Anglicize everything after coming to China, and frequently make troubles for his father by picking fights with the Chinese.
Pingan Lu 陆平安
Pingan Lu is the oldest child of the Lu family. Unlike her sister Pingyao, she is more obedient. She is also very softhearted and cares a lot about her family members.
