Did Fate Tie In To Romeo And Juliet’s Death?

The concept of fate is confusing to some people. Would you want your whole life to be predetermined? What if you think every little thing you do can lead to a million different outcomes… but it doesn't. Fate will lead you to the path you are meant to end up at. The concept of fate is a main theme in The Tragedy Of Romeo And Juliet William Shakespear. The two star crossed lovers were destined to die each scene foreshadowed the lovers deaths. Fate and freewill play a main role in the play but fate can only steer the two star crossed lovers so far their free will is what will change their futures. Romeo also said “I dreamt my love came to me and found me dead” (V i line 6) this quote foreshadowed Juliet finding Romeo dead which happened in act 5. Lord and Lady Capulet planned for Juliet to marry Paris, Juliet wanted to marry Romeo instead. Juliet planned to drink poison that would make her look dead but lord Capulet moved the wedding a day ahead so that everyone would get their minds off Tybalt’s death. The message didn’t get delivered to Romeo because of a plague breakout. The messenger got quarantined leaving Romeo thinking Juliet actually died. Romeo drank poison to kill himself and Juliet woke up to find her lover dead so she killed herself as well. The whole incident is tragic and so unfortunate. Romeo and Juliet were destined to die, it was even foreshadowed when Romeo dreamt finding Juliet dead.
