The deeper message of this quote is that his own choice or his free will to work so hard to be at the position is a key factor. As Well as the choice to play basketball ultimately carved a path in his destiny he wanted to be the best and words to it all thoughs hours he chooses to practice setup his NBA career. In this romeo romeo is of the house of Montague and his true love was of the rival house the capulets. There rivalry was intense to the point of “My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself”(II,ii,404). These two lovers hated how their name put a toll on them socially and how it affected their relationship. But this choice to say and disable their house is what makes the end of the story tragedy because they chooses to ignore the rules of their parents and their houses. This hate of their last name is shed in the text many times as “Neither, fair maid, if either thee dislike”(II,ii,404). Romeo tells juliet I'm not a Montague or Romeo if you don't like them and that really brings out how much he dislikes being born to these rival houses, but this choice to tell juliet that affects him greatly and leads to both of their deaths.
