Love is a mysterious thing it makes people feel different about themselves and the world surrounding them. William Shakespeare created the tragedy of a story called Romeo and Juliet. The play is love packed and shows how people react to being in love. Love made people do things they wouldn’t regularly do, which kept the play intriguing.
The book Romeo and Juliet is based on two star-crossed lovers, which means they cannot be together. The two families are enemies and we’re known to not associate one with another. The families never spoke to each other and avoided direct contact, until the daughter and son of the families met. They fell in love in an instant also known as love at first sight. Normally you listen to your parents' orders, but sometimes you can’t be stopped. No matter what Romeo and Juliet had to see each other even if their parents were enemies. Juliet even would’ve given up being a Capulet. “Deny thy father and refuse thy name; Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I’ll no longer be a Capulet” (Act 2, Scene 2, Line 34-36) Normally you would do anything to protect and stand by your family name, but the fact Juliet was able to give it up like that proves how in love she was. Mercutio was Romeos’ best friend, he was like family to him. Romeo proved his lover for Mercutio when he killed his own family just to avenge a friend. Although some may argue that Tybalt wasn’t Romeos’ family still he killed someone for his friend. It’s hard to see someone you love so much get taken away from you in an instant. The way Romeo expressed his inner rage was very violent but it wasn’t completely uncalled for. “Either thou or I, or both, must go with him” (Act 3, Scene 1, Line 128) What Romeo was saying here was either Tybalt was going to die and be with Mercutio or Romeo or both of them. In the end, Romeo did kill Tybalt but it was all out of love for
