Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy of true love that is so powerful it ends in a terrible fate. In the play of Romeo and Juliet, they experience many misfortunes due to their forbidden love. The argued question is what is the cause for the misfortunes, the text supports the opinion that Romeo and Juliet cause their own misfortunes. There were three main rash and unreasonable decisions that can be blamed for the misfortune which are Romeo and Juliet’s decision to get married next time they encounter one another, Romeo's decision, although not unreasonable still his own, to kill Tybalt, and finally Juliet's agreement to Friar Lawrence’s plan of faking thy own death.
