Could love at first sight be true? or is it just something people say because they actually believe they are in love with a certain individual. Often times what most individuals perceive as true love, particularly at an early stage in their life, may not be quite what they have imagined. William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, has allowed many readers to think about whether it is love being portrayed or if it is just infatuation between the two characters. Romeo and Juliet have only known each other for so little time, it is not enough time to classify themselves as being in love. Juliet was searching for a way to prevent marrying Paris, so the idea of being married to Romeo became a perfect escape route for her. One must come to a conclusion that due to the actions and feeling shown between the characters, both Romeo and Juliet are not in love but infatuated with each other. …show more content…

When you are in love with somebody you may also be attracted to the way the look but you are classified as being in love with them when you can love everything about that specific person because that is what makes them who they are.
