Each character in the play captures a vital role in building the theme of conflicted love and hatred surrounding the main focuses of the plot Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt secondary to the main characters in the play influences has a major influence on the theme and plot of the play as his sheer aggressive attitude and bold daring personality displays him as reckless and impulsive. Tybalt, although being a secondary character along the play is the main antagonist petulant, hot-tempered and arrogant. The impulsive rage that coiled inside of him lead to his death initiating the beginning of the events of tragedies throughout the rest of the play. To the saying of Tybalt being impulsive, he starts the fight that caused his death. Tybalt's dies due to his hot temperedness to the accord of his impulsive acts trying to pick a fight in the streets of Verona with Romeo which led to him slaying Mercutio who rose to the defense of Romeo because of Tybalt's persistent attack of verbal excerpts toward Romeo.
