My person, Rosa Louise McCauley (Rosa Parks) was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on February 4, 1913. She moved with her parents, James and Leona McCauley, to Pine Level, Alabama, at age 2 to reside with Leona’s parents. Her brother Sylvester, was born in 1915, then shortly after that their parents separated. Rosa Parks is inspiring many, and these are the reasons how she’s such an inspiration. Rosa impacted black lives matter through how she wouldn’t give up her seat for a white man. “On December 1, 1955, she was arrested for refusing to give her bus seat to a white man, a violation of the city’s racial segregation ordinances.” That quote was from a website all about Rosa Parks. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Rosa-Parks Explanation of that quote is December 1, 1955, Rosa was arrested for not giving up her seat for a white man.
