Ruby Bridges was important to civil rights because she was one of the first African American kids to go to an all white school. According to the text, she went to a school for only white people. Because she was black so she was not welcome there. According to the text, she could have gotten arrested for going to an only white school. Because it was illegal for an African American to go to a white only school. Another reason is that she was confused because people were making fun of her. She was imported to Civil Rights because she was the first black/ African American to go to an all white school and stand up for segregation for schools everywhere. She went to an all white school because she wanted to help desegregate all schools and she started by going there but she was African American. Ruby Bridges stood up for her race by going to an all white school Because she did not feel welcome at her new school so she wanted to make anyone feel like she did. Ruby Bridges was fighting desegregation by going to an all white school. She transferred to a new school because her parents thought it was a good idea to put her in with the white kids.In conclusion Ruby Bridges had to stand up for desegregation and racial equality and in the end it played out because she never gave up and she kept fighting for her
