She grows old with the self-condemnation of staying with Nathan for as long as she did, for if she mustered up the courage to leave the Congo earlier, Ruth May would not have died. Ruth May’s plea for Orleanna to forgive herself, just as Ruth May has forgiven her, presents the possibility of repentance for anyone, no matter how great of consequence their mistakes are. Though she never passed the age of 6, Ruth May seems to have learned better than most the importance of finding strength from and learning from wrong-doings. Urging her mother to “Move on. Walk forward into the light”, Ruth may passes along her own moral reassessment to anyone whom will listen, telling the error in letting so-called sins weigh down ones self forever
Courage is measured by an individual’s willingness to continue fighting even when the likelihood of victory is small. In the play, “The Crucible”, written by Arthur Miller, it tests the courage of the villagers in Salem through situations created by greed, cowardice, and other evils in the world. Several characters display a great deal of courage but none demonstrate this trait more than John Proctor. John Proctor is a farmer who is characterized as a proud man. Through out the beginning of the play, Miller gives the readers little clues to suggest that John and Abigail had an affair.

The latter is described as being pretty and lively whereas Mrs. Wright lives the life of an outcast, keeping to herself. The loneliness in the two women’s lives adds a dark atmosphere to the respective stories as well as an undeniable gloom. In conclusion, Ruth Warren and Mrs. Wright share many life experiences and struggles, but what makes them different is the way in which those struggles shape them. While Ruth Warren retains her cheerful attitude despite her gloomy situation, Mrs. Wright becomes a shell of her former self, yielding her happiness completely to her
This quote connects to how certain anxieties can ignite, for instance, since she has murdered people and will never be able to make love anymore,
Courage is standing up for someone or something you think is right even when people aren’t looking. Discrimination is showed in Mildred D. Taylor's book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry to Cassie and her family just because of their race. Cassie has to show courage throughout the book by standing up for Little Man on the first day of school, gaining Lillian Jean's trust, and standing up for herself in Barnetts Mercantile. The essay I have chosen to do is Abigail Adams’ Letter to John Adams now how I have perceived this assignment would be that I am to argue whether it pertains to the category of pathos being emotional, logos going with logic or facts and examples, and ethos which would be ethical/morals. Now I’ll go into a little more depth about why it is pathos; the rhetorical appealing of our emotions. First things first would be my examples one being when she writes in her letter to him “acquiescing in a painful separation from the companion of my youth, and the friend of my heart.” Right here she is pretty much saying that despite all her efforts to not be sad about his departure she can’t help but feel lonely without him, in this other one “shall we not be

They found their perfect tree in the mountain, but they had to mark it with her red hair ribbon so they knew which tree it was during the winter. That summer her father was called off to go to war. All Ruthie wanted was a special doll and for her father to come back home. A package came and inside was clothe, ribbons, and a letter promising her father would be home in time for Christmas.

Similarly, Raphaela appreciates Ruth’s welcome to the school, as being new is difficult for her. At a school with distorted hierarchy, emotional support is crucial. So, Ruth provides Raphaela a place where she could feel comfortable. Despite her appreciation, Raphaela often compares her bravery to Ruth’s.
To properly understand a story, one must understand the background that correlates with it. Ruth was a Moabite and consequently disliked by the Israelites. This tension initiated when the Israelites looked at conquering the land of Canaan and the King of Moab, Balak, had his ritualistic prostitutes seduce the Israeli men in hope to subdue the Israelites and make them commit adultery. The Lord was furious with this and told Moses to destroy the Moabites, igniting a hatred that surpassed the anger felt towards the Egyptians (Numbers 25). This history between the two groups is what makes this story of Ruth so incredible.
