Camp NaNoWriMo July edition is officially over. Doing NaNoWriMo over this spring and summer has been such an amazing experience that I am feeling melancholy already about it being over. Saturday, September 19th, I did the Big River Sweep with many members in the RLC. At first I was skeptical about doing the sweep, because Andy was talking about how deep the water was and that if I got injured that it was on me. I expected it to be cold, and very deep water. I thought I was going to be swimming in the water, and picking up huge objects that's bigger than Sprinkle. I thought I was going to be seeing big fish, basically I had this idea that I was going to do some form of scuba diving.
Analysis of the Special Olympics has allowed me to experience the hard work and dedication of so many outstanding athletes. meeting these athletes with disabilities that would make anyone wonder how can they still smile and be happy. The determination and strength that they have is beyond words. The Special Olympics is an outstanding organization that brings awareness and allows those disabilities to compete and win. From the staff and volunteers to the families one can only walk away with the attitude that nothing is impossible in life.
