I remember my home country El Salvador as being colorful invaded by exotic trees and fruits. I also remember the unique tastes found in the food. Unfortunately, when I came to the United States I felt as If I left everything behind including our culture. Lucky, my mother found a way to bring with her our culture through her cooking. The main food representing my culture will be the empanadas. Every country has its own type of empanadas and Salvadorian empanadas are so different from the other empanadas.
