I am extremely honored to be taken into consideration for membership in our school’s National Honor Society. I have been awaiting this opportunity for a long time; I will be a valuable asset to the National Honor Society. NHS will allow me to expand my current abilities and also grow as a person. I display the qualities NHS is looking for- scholarship, character, service, and leadership. Academic excellence has always been my top priority. My freshman year I had a GPA of 3.97 and later achieved a 4.0 my third semester. I am currently enrolled in a college class through Western Iowa Tech,and I have many more college level courses planned. Our character is who we are when no one is around and who we are in front of God at the end of time. He wants us toalways be the best version of ourselves. Through my actions, I want to live in a way that is selfless and admirable. I know that being on NHS will help me to develop my character further. In addition, I am confident, polite, and organized; I will do whatever I can to help my community. I began tutoring Spanish this year, as well as mentoring an underclassman. I cantor at church and believe all service should be done in His name. I work well with others and always look for the best solution to a problem. Furthermore, I have been a part of Students for Life for the past two years and I really enjoy standing up for my beliefs. I look forward to many more opportunities to serve my community, should I be accepted into National Honor Society. I am very confident and consider myself a good leader. I initiate discussions in the classrooms and help those in need. I value responsibility, accountability, and timeliness. Rising above expectations is something I strive for, such as going to early morning choir practices for Chamber Choir and Triple Trio. Last year, I was president of the freshman class.
