The National Honor Society is a wonderful organization that recognizes students who give their all and who wants to make a difference in the world. This platform allows students to help the less fortunate, needy children, the elderly, and nonprofit organizations. I would be honored to be in such a society because of the limitless opportunities it would present to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person, overcome anxieties, do as much as I can for others, as well as achieve my dreams. When I start feeling sorry for myself, I will think of those less fortunate. I will hold my head high and be a hero for someone who needs me. I've learned that nothing worthwhile comes easy. You must work your hardest and give 100% in everything you do. I also want to show other people who are in a dark time in their life and feel life just can't get better. That by asking for help, never giving up, and doing your best, you will persevere and can make a wonderful life for yourself. You may just make an impact in another's life. I believe that each person shapes his or her own destiny. I recognize the importance of always doing my best so that I may shape my life into what I want it to be. I understand we only get one chance at life and it's up to us to make what we can with it. I am truly honored to be among the excellent students who are being considered for the National Honor Society.
