Gabriel Jasper Professor Goldstein CSFRST 2300 26 March 2023 Book Review of 3 Kings by Zach O'Malley Greenburg Throughout the novel 3 Kings by Zach O’Malley Greenburg there are many prominent brands that were cornerstones to Hip-Hop and early pop culture. One of the first brands that really stood out to me was Death Row Records which was founded by Dr. Dre and was home to other successful artists such as Snoop Dog and Tupac Shakur. Along with Death Row Records was their “Not so Friendly Neighbors” Bad Boy Entertainment which boasted an equally as impressive lineup with the likes of The Notorious B.I.G. and P Diddy. In addition to the impressive record labels, these artists had even more brands that they have established in their own respective
Israel asks God to give them a king so they can be like the other nations (1 Sam. 8:5, 19-20). So God uses Samuel to appoint Saul, and then David, as the first kings over His people. Saul is a failure as a king, but David serves God as a faithful king, defeating Israel’s neighbors, enforcing God’s law, and moving God’s residence to
Fitting in and be accepted, but also not having a choice on who you are can be difficult. People can love you for one reason, and hate you for another. The protagonist, Saul Indian Horse from the novel Indian Horse, written by Richard Wagamese knows exactly what that feels like. He struggles with being an outsider and not being wanted his entire life. At some points, he is almost like everybody’s hero because of his great skills in hockey.
This caused Samson’s rage against the Philistines to turn into a boiling hatred as stated by Samson himself when he said, “This time I have a right to get even with the Philistines; I will really harm them.” (Judges 15:3). This shows Samson coming into the reason God allowed for him to be born which would allow him to exercise his plan to release the Israelites from the Palestine’s. He struck down the men who had gone against his wishes and struck him down. His people brought him back to the Philistine’s in response to his actions due to fear of their retaliations.

Samuel mistakened that Eli was calling his name but when Eli recognized that Samuel was hearing God speak to him, he told Samuel to say "speak, for you servant is listening." God said that He would judge Eli's family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons lacked respect to God. Eli could have but did not kick out his sons or as God said, restrain them. Samuel told Eli everything that the Lord said to him and Eli accepted his consequences and said God's will is not for anyone to change. The Israelites went out to fight against the Philistines.
His fathers reasons of fighting was because of his son Elie. They both were trying for each
John is the main character and the protagonist of the story “By the Waters of Babylon’’. He’s also the son of the tribal priest. He is a character who displays bravery and determination in his personality. The reason why I chose the words bravery and determination to describe John is because he was brave enough to travel to the Place of Gods even though he was warned that it was forbidden to journey towards there. He assumed that he would have gotten killed if he trespassed the place of the gods but he went and took that risk anyways.
The qualities that make an epic hero are strength, courage a strong mentality, and the aspiration to achieve heroic acts. Many heroes are considered role models as they make brave decisions attempting to do something extraordinary. Heroes often fight against the causes of evil as they try to make the environment a better place. Hercules (son of Zeus) is one of the many known Gods to Greek mythology. He is supernatural and immortal.
If one political party is driven by logic and one by heart which one is which and why? After researching multiple issues and the stances of both the Democratic and Republican party, I would have to describe the Democratic party as being more driven by heart and the Republican party as being more driven by logic. I would like to emphasize that on some issues, like abortion. Then again, it depends on what lense I look at the problem through and the reasoning behind each parties’ ideas that determined my labeling. In the end, I did find myself labeling the Democratic standpoint as being more heart lead in comparison to the Republicans’.
