One of the benefits of Self-Authorship is to allow students to discover who they are, and allow them to make life decisions without outside influences. This advising theory assists with allowing students to identify who they are, what they want to be, and where they would like to go. These psychosocial developmental challenges also include undergoing personal struggles with oneself. This model is closely related to that of Arthur Chickering, who also believed that college students go through developmental stages that require them to think, feel, behave, and value oneself. (Chickering & Reisser, 1993).
I am a decent to the average writer. Mr. Harper told me I was a good writer, but that is suspect at times. I like vocab, it is
What about Me? Through the Project 2 self-assessments available in Connect (2017), I was able to complete 45 assessments to gain valuable information including big five personality, self-esteem levels, proactivity, listening skills, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and strategic planning skills. These assessment results all correlated with my Jung Typology test classification as ENTJ (Humanmetrics, 2017). Personality Insights.
My Literacy Journey “Sponsors, as I have come to think of them, are any agents, local or distant, concrete or abstract, who enable, support, teach, model, as well as recruit, regulate, suppress, or withhold literacy-and gain advantage by it in some way” (Brandt 166). While staring at a blank Word document, re-reading the articles that we discussed in class, and brainstorming for countless hours, I asked myself, what or who was my literary sponsor? In her article, she goes on to state that “sponsors seemed a fitting term for the figures who turned up most typically in people's memories of literacy learning: older relatives, teachers, priests, supervisors, military officers, editors, officers, editors, influential authors” (Brandt 167). How have I improved as a writer? I am thinking about my action plan as a writer have I improved, have I met the goals I set out to achieve on my first day of class, and what have I learned in this class? I will go over my time in this class and review the various topics I mentioned above and more. Looking back over my time in this class I will critique and praise myself. How I felt about writing when I first started this class compared to how I feel now, I would have to say I am more comfortable with writing.
Individual reflection and assessment is a vital component for growing as a writer. By analyzing my own strengths and weaknesses, I can further develop the steps I should take in order to grow as a writer. Through completion of the varying assignments in English class this semester, I have a heightened perception of areas that I am strong along with areas that I need to improve. The powerful guidance of those who I sought help from in my journey to improve my writing made a positive lasting impact on my academic future. Through becoming aware of my strengths and weaknesses, endeavoring into a variety of writing styles, and implementing both what I have learned along with what I still need to improve on, I have gained skill that can elevate me to new realms of academic accomplishment.
Learning the writing process has been one of the most helpful portions of this course for me. Before this course, I didn’t really have much of a process. If anything, my process was almost backward. I would write first and then organize and outline from what I had written. Understanding the steps of the writing process has helped me to improve my writing.
Social Anxiety English has always been my favorite subject in school. I’ve always loved the way so many creations can come out of something as simple as words. Words have the ability to transform into almost anything. From poetry and music to rhetorical analysis and informative articles. Writing allows me to pour my creativity into whatever subject I am writing about.
As each writing assignments is graded, I realize how much I have improved as a writer by the grade and the fewer mistakes that I have made in them. As each time the grammatical and spelling mistakes are fewer on each paper. I want to share how I have grown as a writer on second semester by being in class and reflecting on my previous assignments. Even though there weren’t many writing assignments this semester. There were some assignments that I have done poorly on.
Self-Evaluation on Counselling Session (One) Session start with a warmth greeting, by asking client ‘How can I address you?”, to be honest I felt nervous at the beginning of the session, too focus or particular on the name of client, client actually felt uncomfortable. I can just follow the flow and address whatever name client point out and start with small talk will be a good idea such as asking about his experience of travelling to the centre for his counselling session. Thereupon, I briefly explained the length of time of the session, confidentiality and the limitation. I believe that I deliver a clear message to the client.

Self Sociologist in the United States today believe that we develop over time because of the different stages of age norms we face in our life span and by “time related rules and regulations”. This means we will have different time periods where we are forced to maintain relationships with people in our life that will help us grow, learn, and make mistakes to build us a better charchecter within ourselves. Personally I have had many milestones in my life that has taught me a lot as far as mistakes and being able to grow as a young man that I have grown into today. Completing High school was a huge social milestone for me, I wanted it for myself but most importantly I wanted to make my family happy.
Weimin Deng Catch me Inside, You will be Surprised What is my purpose for living? Few years ago, my answer will be to live a successful life without negative emotions. Apparently, in Susan David’s TED talk on The Gift and Power of Emotional Courage, I am someone with dead people’s goals (David, 2017). In fact, I had lived almost two decades of life striving for dead people’s goals.
1.2 Overview of Self-Awareness When self-awareness is used, it means to what extent people are aware of their thinking pattern, traits, feelings and behavior (Brown, 2012). Fletcher and Bailey (2003) state that it is possible to preview at our own self-assessment and assessment made by other people in relation to self-awareness for instance, the scope of which we can exactly recognise how others observe us. In the same way, Yammarino and Atwater (1997) identify self-awareness as an adeptness of an individual to view own performance related to a specific criteria and then, evaluate others assessment of the individual and monitor precisely linking the two consequences. Fletcher and Bailey (2003) states the relationship between self-awareness and performance is significant when assessing self-awareness and further presents
Most people want to improve themselves in some way, whether it is to lose weight or give up smoking or increase their confidence. Self-improvement is something that we carry out over a life time, but it is a task that can require a lot of motivation. Keeping your motivation levels up and steady can be a job in itself. In order to achieve the motivation required for self-improvement, we need to look at the three keys that will help us succeed in our goals. 1) INSPIRATION
