I. Government Version The government version is that Shakespeare did all his own work. And just as Pruitt (2015) explains, “...Until hard evidence surfaces linking his plays to someone else, the man with the strongest claim to the plays of William Shakespeare appears to be...William Shakespeare.” Nobody can argue that he didn’t do what he has claimed to have done because Pruitt (2015) continues to explain that “the printed copies of his plays and sonnets [have] his name on them.” Andrews (2016) helped Pruitt explain by saying, “Although the arguments about his authorship have raged for two centuries, his plays have been printed and reprinted and reprinted again bearing [Shakespeare’s] name.” That’s why school children are taught only of Shakespeare …show more content…

Marlowe and Shakespeare both were raised more humble and grew to be big in the entertainment industry. This made it easier for them to collaborate. Shakespeare liked nature and darker, more realistic ideals, while Marlowe preferred to write about brighter and unrealistic ideals. II. It is assumed that he went and it is assumed that he didn’t finish due to family issues- but no one knows for sure. His father was illiterate, does that mean Shakespeare was also?
