Romeo says to Juliet, “Farewell! I won’t miss any chance to send my love to you” (191). This shows that Romeo has matured in the component of love because before, he was just romantically attracted to Rosaline and only liked her for her looks and didn’t know her well. He also only enjoyed the idea of having a girlfriend and didn’t physically love that person. But, at the end of the book, he actually both had romantic and identity love towards Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet experience pure romantic love throughout the book. There are a lot of barriers that keep them from marrying, like being in different groups like the Chapulet and the Montagues. Romeo killed people to marry Juilet and Juilet lost her family to marry Romeo. There are a lot of people who go through love like this and sometimes it's not healthy. Most people are blinded by the other person and sometimes create a connection that they can't control, in some cases.
In act I, scene V, Juliet says “If he be married My grave is like to be my wedding bed”. One should consider the fact that Juliet has not yet even properly been introduced to Romeo--and she is already considering herself to be in love: "If that thy bent of love be honorable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow. . .". A day after Juliet meets Romeo, she agrees to marry him. Stepping back for a moment, it is generally agreeable that love does not happen instantly--but infatuation certainly does. That is the distinction here.
Throughout the plays of Shakespeare, there are always character flaws within the main protagonist specifically in this play Romeo. In the beginning of the play we are introduced to Romeo as a love-struck boy but this is one of his flaws "Alas that love, whose view is muffled still, Should, without eyes, see pathways to his will (1.1.165-166)" this shows that Romeo is in love with ‘Rosaline' but as it is Romeo is in love with attraction, not real love because they are two separate forms. Furthermore proving this is the party of the Capulet's "Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight!
Romeo and Juliet are in love because when they first saw each other it was love at first sight. There connection was amazing and they were inseparable. Romeo was still in love with another girl but when his eyes met juliet that all changed. At that point we as the audience knew that Romeo and Juliet were in love with each other. The first reason is to why they are in love is because romeo drank the poison when he thought juliet was dead.
After Romeo has met Juliet, he says, “With Rosaline, my ghostly father? No. I have forgot that name, and that name’s woe” Act two, scene three, line 48). This begs the question: Was Romeo truly in love, or did he just find Juliet attractive, like many teens? Convinced that they were in love with each other, these two teens meet again at night and pledge their love, deciding that they will be married the next morning.
They said they were in love before they even knew each other's name and the family they each came from. To sincerely be in love with someone, you have to know them very well and love them for the person they are, but you can’t do that if you have barley even talked to them. Lastly, Romeo and Juliet were so young that they were just caught up in all of the excitement and not thinking clearly. Juliet went from being totally uninterested with the whole idea of marriage, to wanting to marry someone she barely knew after only meeting him a couple days prior.
Romeo and Juliet is widely known for it’s tragic story of two star crossed lovers dying for their love, but were Romeo and Juliet ever truly in love? I believe that although the two youngsters had some kind of spark between each other they were ultimately not in love. In Act 1, scene 5 Romeo see’s Juliet for the first time and instantly claims his love for even though in the previous scene he ranted on about how grief-stricken he was that Rosaline didn’t return his love. Romeo went to the Capulet’s party just so he can see Rosaline, then sees Juliet—a girl he didn’t even know existed five minutes ago—and immediately falls in love with her.
(Act I,S5,P2). This quote proves that specifically Romeo’s love for Juliet was based on her looks rather then her personality and relationships that start like that are bound to end. Love should come more internally than externally and in their case it does not make their love impure. In short Romeo and Juliet's love was not real and not meant to last.
Romeo and juliet do not have fully developed brains. They are still teenagers, They don't have a full understanding of what love is and how it works. Romeo and juliet were under the stress of their family's. Romeo wanted to get married as soon as possible thinking that their families vendettas would end, juliet agreed and they decided to get married, As with most suicides, there is more to the story than just the ending. It’s never just that they wanted to end their life.
In my opinion, I believe Juliet loved Romeo more than how Romeo loved Juliet . Even though they both faced irony and multiple tradegy's ,Juliet was sure to show how much him how much love she had for him . Throughout the story I felt like Romeo did not even really care how much Love Juliet had for him. Juliet even hoped and claimed that their love is diffrent from other and can not be conpared. Romeo also made Juliet get in love with him with his sweet words but, in my perspective I feel that Romeo was not begin loyal to the love with Juliet because he had just finished with Roasoline .
Alan Watts once said, “Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.” (brainyquotes.com). Watts is saying that we can't just say that we love someone, we have to feel our heart swell with the love we have for that person. In William Shakespeare's, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love because they automatically fall ‘in love’ after seeing each other once, they decide to get married a few hours after they meet and they are too immature to actually know what love is . One reason Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love is that they fell in love right after they meet (lust at first sight).
This shows that Juliet found love at first sight. Also, although Romeo was obsessed with Rosaline, he had confessed, talking about Juliet saying “It is my lady, Oh it is my love. Oh, that she knew she were!”(2.2,10-11)This shows that Romeo fell for Juliet too. This had only happened the night of the Ball.
From the moment he sees her at the Capulet party, Romeo immediately falls in love with Juliet. They both fall head over heels for each other as the night progresses. During their time together, they completely put all things aside and forget everything about the world except for their love for one another. Most people seem to think this way about the romance between Romeo and Juliet, but in reality, they aren’t actually truly in love. Romeo and Juliet are not in love with each other because just a day before they met, he felt heartbroken because of a girl named Rosaline who didn 't love him, he pressures Juliet to profess her love to him, and after just barely meeting, they both agree to get married.
This is why it may appear that Romeo and Juliet don’t ever experience true love. However, what Romeo and Juliet were feeling toward each other in Shakespeare’s play was still indeed love. Though they may be fictional characters they experience the same things as real people would. Consequently, the natural instincts that all humans have and chemicals naturally pumped into the brain to form feelings of passion could be expected to exist within these lover’s as well. Obviously, love must be real because it hasn’t changed the slightest over the course of time.
