Romeo was deeply in love with Rosaline and wanted to be with her and get married. “For beauty starved with her severity…She is too fair, too wise, wisely too fair, to merit bliss by making me despair: She hath forsworn to love, and in that vow…” (Romeo and Juliet 1.1.210-214) Romeo thought that Rosaline was everything he was looking for. Rosaline on the other hand did not care for Romeo, or from what the play tells us. Romeo moved on past Rosaline at a party the Capulets were throwing. If Romeo had not moved onto Juliet many, if not all, characters would have still been alive.
Romeo was in love with Rosaline but then he went to a party of the Capulets. Romeo wasn’t invited to this party but Romeo went anyways. When Romeo got to the party he saw Juliet the daughter of the Capulets and Romeo fell in love with her at the first sight. Romeo was in love with Rosaline but as soon as he seen Juliet his feelings changed very quick and shows he falls in love too fast and easily. Romeo is quick to falling in love too fast and because of that it is one of the reasons Romeo and Juliet are dead.
In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, two teens fall in love. In the beginning Romeo claims he can’t live without a girl named Rosaline. He only says this because he's never saw another woman. After he finds out she doesn't like him back, he begins to cry and lock himself away from everyone else.
but he then fell in love with Juliet. Even though Romeo had just gotten turned down by Rosaline he still loves her and states, “...Nor ope
If Rosaline didn’t refuse to get married, Romeo wouldn’t be looking for a different girl. When Rosaline tells Romeo no, he sees Juliet and thinks
Was it actually possible for Romeo and Juliet to fall in love? The answer is no. Romeo and Juliet were so young, and Romeo is getting over a breakup. They are both also looking for escapism. Romeo and Juliet were not in love because they barely knew each other, Romeo just got over a breakup, and they were both looking for escapism.
The first reason that Romeo and Juliet are not in love due to the fact that they are too childish to fully understand what love is. During the famous balcony scene, Juliet says, “But to be frank, and give [my love to] thee again, And yet I wish but for the thing I have. My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.” (2.2.31-35).
Romeo and Juliet is a play written by Shakespeare that was about two young people falling into an unbreakable love. Were Romeo and Juliet really in love with each other? Romeo and Juliet could not have been in love, they were both young, barely knew each other, and they were willing to die because they thought that was the only way they could be together. Juliet was only 14 years old when she decided to marry Romeo.
This is a reason because Romeo just got over Rosaline, when he sees Juliet he is somewhat using her as a rebound. “Out of her favor, where I am in love.” (act 1 scene 1 line 163) In this scene, Romeo is going on and on about how he loves Rosaline but she doesn’t love him back. Later on, he sees Juliet at the Capulet party and falls ‘in love’ with her.
Rosaline never loved Romeo back which caused Romeo to go for Juliet.
After Romeo has met Juliet, he says, “With Rosaline, my ghostly father? No. I have forgot that name, and that name’s woe” Act two, scene three, line 48). This begs the question: Was Romeo truly in love, or did he just find Juliet attractive, like many teens? Convinced that they were in love with each other, these two teens meet again at night and pledge their love, deciding that they will be married the next morning.
In the beginning of the play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo was deeply in love with a girl named Rosaline. After Romeo found out that Rosaline didn’t love him, he went to (an accidental party with both Capulet's and Montague's invited). At the party Romeo saw a beautiful girl that caught his eye and her name was Juliet and they instantly were attracted to each other. This is how Romeo and Juliet met. Romeo and Juliet were not truly in love because they got married only two days after they had met and that wasn’t enough time to truly fall in love with someone.
Romeo was a teenage boy, who was just getting over a girl. At the Capulet’s party, the very first second he saw Juliet, he fell in love with her. He already forgot about Rosaline, in the same day. He also had the same characteristics of Juliet, they both were young and didn't knew what they were doing. Romeo spilled his guts to Juliet about how much he loved her, but did he really?
William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two young lovers wanting to be together. Due to the two families feuding, this relationship was not allowed. Their love for eachother was so strong that they were willing to die to be with each other. Although some believe that Romeo and Joliet were infatuated with one another, they were actually in love. The most compelling evidence of their love was that they couldn’t stop thinking about each other which caused irrational actions.
From the moment he sees her at the Capulet party, Romeo immediately falls in love with Juliet. They both fall head over heels for each other as the night progresses. During their time together, they completely put all things aside and forget everything about the world except for their love for one another. Most people seem to think this way about the romance between Romeo and Juliet, but in reality, they aren’t actually truly in love. Romeo and Juliet are not in love with each other because just a day before they met, he felt heartbroken because of a girl named Rosaline who didn 't love him, he pressures Juliet to profess her love to him, and after just barely meeting, they both agree to get married.
