In modern literature, authors reveal hidden themes within their novels, to express a valid point such as gender equality.
An example of these hidden themes is in the book Only Ever Yours by Louise O'Neal.
This book is about a female named Freida who lives in a male-dominated society.
In this society, it is a female’s duty to fulfill a man’s needs over your own.
Freida loses everything for the sake of being accepted by her high maintenance peers and to her main goal of becoming a housewife to complete the binding of men for the rest of her life.
This book demonstrates an extreme dystopia if the gender inequality of today were heightened to the maximum position.
This novel clearly gives people a reason to support gender equality because the author examines a female’s position of being discriminated against based on one’s gender and the long-term effects of the discrimination.
By seeing an extreme case of gender inequality you should be moved to strive to be part of the attempts to for gender equality world because ultimately it will benefit all humans included.
