1. The purpose of this article is to persuade the general public that not every high school student needs to strive to attend college because this will not only be a waste of time and money, but will also present them a career that they have trouble discerning the value of what they do. 2. The article does have a bias. Matthew B. Crawford believes that it is time to question what a good job appears to be like, both the security of the job and the worthy of being honored both considered as two key aspects.
Our task was to create a calculator with the resources we were provided. Being thrown into something I have never experienced before was a learning curve, but eventually I was able to program my calculator to compute 2 +2. It might seem elementary now, but to me this experience was the spark that hooked me into the world of technology.
The article “The Science of Shopping” written by New Yorker staff writer Malcom Gladwell, is based on retail anthropologist and urban geographer Paco Underhill. Underhill studies the shopping characteristics through frequently watched surveillance tapes to help store managers improve the setup of their goods and services. Through those footages he evaluated his observations and the statistics to help define his theories with the purpose to make sellers conform to the desires of the shoppers. Underhill, an insightful and revolutionary man, provides a view of science to displaying merchandise and creates a positive experience for both the buyer and seller. I agree that Underhill’s scientific theories; the Invariant Right, Decompression
The Good and the Bad of Technology Ray Bradbury’s “The Veldt” is a twisted story about just how much advanced technology can alter one’s daily habits, mind, and even personality. Back when the short story was published, advanced technology such as those expressed in the story seemed impossible. However, a world where robots deliver takeout is on the horizon. A house that cooks and cleans for those that inhabit it does not seem so far fetched anymore. As modern technology starts catching up with the fictional world of “The Veldt”, many benefits and risks are starting to emerge.

During my childhood I always watched my family work on cars, I always found the curves and bends on cars fascinating something about them always pulled me deeper, and deeper to find out the story behind the car. My family has a 1936 Chevy coupé, we worked on it at my grandpa’s shop. I always watched the detail on the freshly wired steel on the car, and the slight detail in welds the art work, and perfection in the car’s small details was memorable As I sit watching I’m called, I answer to the calling as I walk over behind the car, my Dad asks me to help him, I was filled with joy I wanted to jump up and down to express my happiness ,but I didn’t want to make a fool of myself so I kept my cool. That was the first time I ever worked on a car
During this project a computer was used to run the Adobe illustrator software and I created my own version of a robot. By using adobe illustrator, I had access to various techniques and designs. I also used various art elements to create my robot. The shape of the robot is square in the face and oval shaped for the body. I used a variation of the color yellow throughout to represent the cartoon character Spongebob.
We had decided to do more improve games as a class, we did one which was fruit and vegetable day. You would pick your favorite or least favorite fruit or veggie and have to act out that character but only using the name of that object. This game went on for a little over a week and I asked if I could try something to expand it a little, and so I taught a game using the same concept but instead you would have multiple characters and you would interact with one another and tell a story only using the names of the fruit or vegetable you chose. This was a sparking moment in my life, I decided that this was something that I wanted to continue doing, so I started journaling.
