Short Term Effects Of Playing Soccer

Cardiovascular Heart volume and stroke volume increase
Respiratory Respiration rates increase
Muscular Muscle soreness

Playing soccer combines constant jogging, accurate shooting and sudden sprinting. When the player performs soccer, her heart volume and stroke volume increase as she runs. Each heartbeat sends nutrition and oxygenated blood to the organs and muscles; heartbeats also remove the body wastes such as lactic acid and carbon dioxide. When she is playing soccer, her muscles increase demands. They need more oxygen and nutrient. Her body tissues also produce more wastes. So her heart needs to pump more rapidly to give her muscles enough supplies and remove wastes. When playing soccer, the player’s …show more content…

The cardiac muscle gets stronger, so the walls get stronger and thicker. Thus, it can increase in heart volume. Therefore, more blood can pump around the body and transport oxygen to the muscles quicker. The number of red blood cells will also increase after training of this aerobic sport. The increasing of red blood cell can improve the ability of transporting oxygen around the body. So the muscles can be well oxygenated.

Muscles size will increase after training. They will get stronger for coping stresses. The increasing of the muscles size also helps muscles to store more oxygen. The muscles also can store more glycogen for energy. They become more efficient and concentrated to the action.

After a long term training, the player’s respiratory muscles like diaphragm will get bigger. They get stronger for increasing in strength. They also can protect and support the lungs better. Thus, the respiratory volume will get larger. It allows more oxygen in the blood flow so that the oxygen supply to the muscles can be richer. Therefore, the muscles can get enough oxygen to provide
