When it comes to planning out what I want to do for the rest of my life I find it to be very enjoyable. It makes me believe I can see into the future since I am talking about what is going to happen and then I make it happen. I have a few short-term goals that I want to accomplish. First, I will mention that at the beginning of the class I announced that I hope to improve my resume and expand my network by taking this course. I did exactly that and I also learned about social branding. This is where my first short term goal comes into place. I will set up a photoshoot before spring break and take pictures to post on my Facebook and Instagram. I will remove old pictures and update my profile on my social media sites. I want to finish off the semester with all A’s. I know this is possible and I know it will be challenging. Now I am aware of what classes I need to spend more time on. I will pace my study time throughout the exam week. This way I will not have to cram any class material before the exam day. I will continue to have a to-do list and complete all my daily tasks along with homework that I set up for my days of the week. I considered myself an active student back in Farmington. Which this leads to my third short term goal of being more active on UNM campus. I will schedule a meeting with my advisor to plan out my next semester schedule. This time I would like to consider the Attorney General Position for Student Government at UNM. I will consider understanding the Law book and analyzing previous minutes to stay current with the Student Government. I will also use what I learned on forming my resume and make one especially for that position. I also want to mention that working on the Informative interview was a wonderful experience for me. I interviewed a criminal defense attorney and I realized that I am on the right path. This is exactly what I want to do. Due to this my long-term goals do consist a lot with the Law. I will achieve my bachelors by following my class requirements and making sure I pass them with excellent grades. I need a high GPA, bachelor’s degree, and a outstanding LSAT score. My last semester at UNM I do plan to take 2 practice LSAT exams to prepare me for the real exam. Depending on my overall GPA and LSAT score I will apply to Law schools in Arizona, California, New York, Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I will consider the ones that accept me and then set my four criterions. Which are, location, price, credentials, and cost of living. Location is important to me since I want to practice law where I plan to live for the rest of my life. Price is a criterion since Law school is known for being expensive and I will consider any scholarships available for me. I do not want to be too much in debt. From attending the UNM Law School Open House I learned that the first year of Law School student will be limited to only 15 hours of work.
