As a freshman in college, I wanted to major in legal studies because my perception of the pre-law course was misconstrued. I surmised that majoring in legal studies would allow me to excel in the subject of law and help prepare me for the LSAT. .Albeit I know it will be a rigorous course, I am determined to work diligently in order to complete my academic goal. I want to attend a college in which there are many majors that align with pre-law student's common goals. I want to major in a subject in which will be useful in LSAT and further on within law school, hence why I want to attend Mount holyoke in order to major in economics.
Mount holyoke offers a variety of majors that are highly recommended majors for students who are planning to attend law school. The specific major I am most interested in taking in Mount Holyoke is economics. Immediately, I was impressed because it was a preparatory program that offers weekly LSAT sessions, workshops and countless pre-law resources that are designed to help students who aspire to go to law school.Attending Bay Path made me realize that I want to take my major and utilize within a different career decision. While Bay Path has adequate resources for students interested in legal studies, I am in need of LSAT preparations as well as a supporting community whom are all interested in the academic path of pre-law. Bay Path is a university steered more towards math and science while Mount Holyoke is is a liberal arts institution.
