Just as any other ordinary college student, I decided to enroll into Georgia Southern University to further my education. During my senior year of high school, I was given the opportunity to complete seventeen hours at Southern, and I loved taking classes here. I decided to stay in my hometown of Statesboro, rather than transfer, and I do not regret my decision! School has always been important to me, and every day new discoveries are made, so there is so much to learn. While attending Georgia Southern, I will be majoring in marketing; in the future, I want to use my degree as a marketing manager. As a Freshmen, I am taking the basic core classes, but in the spring, since I will be considered a sophomore with the amount of hours that I have, I will begin taking classes that are guided towards my major of marketing. Even with just taking core classes, I have learned so much, and I am excited to use the information that I learn to contribute to my future in the world of business. After working at Barefoot Campus Outfitters for a year, I have decided that I want to pursue a career in the business field. My major of Marketing requires students to have at least a 2.5 GPA; with my major’s GPA requirements being higher than Georgia Southern’s requirement, I will strive to make good grades in all of my classes. I always put effort into everything I participate in, from sports to school, so I am confident that I can achieve the GPA requirements for my major.
