In order for one’s career to be the most fruitful that it can possibly be, there must be practical experience to go alongside the academic training. I feel that this internship would equip me with the experience necessary for my career in the future. This internship would allow me the chance to work alongside engineers in the field, where I would be able to see the actual demands of the engineering profession first hand. In the summer of 2015, I spent my time working for Iron Mountain, a storage and information management company. When I returned to my current school, Auburn University at Montgomery, for the fall semester of 2015, I hit the ground full on sprinting in order to complete my classes with high marks. This diligent work lead me to become an accepted student of Auburn University (Main Campus) later that same year, where I will finish my degree. Now, to be totally fair, engineering students at Auburn University will more than likely possess more classroom training than I will have upon initial arrival. However, if I were to be accepted to be a part of the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama Internship I would have the incalculable opportunity to gain exposure to the engineering field, thus putting me a step ahead of my peers. For me, this internship would not last a summer, but a lifetime in observable and tangible lessons. This chance would also help me in maintaining the drive necessary to get my degree. The classes and the work that await me down the road will not be easy by any means of the word, making it imperative to maintain inspiration along the way. However, I know for a fact that this opportunity will provide me with what I need to keep pushing
