Can you imagine always being sixth out of seventh place? Of course, I always strive to be in first place, but in the case of my siblings, I’m the sixth born. Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, my single mother always motivated us to read and study and do our homework. As a young child, I was extremely curious. My oldest siblings often recited the “curiosity killed the cat” saying to me because I would often be found taking the eMachines desktop apart and reassembling it. I grew to love technology throughout my childhood and wanted to acquire more knowledge. Once thirteen years old, everyone from teachers, parents, siblings, and strangers informed me that I could not major in anything engineering. I believe by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering with a minor in Chinese from Georgia Southern University , I will be able to achieve that goal. Georgia Southern University will allow me to connect with individuals whom share similar ambitions to mine. By attending this university, I will begin to build a legacy for my family.
Today, one can look at my resume or at my current schedule, and see that I am a hard-worker. Since I’ve started higher education, I’ve had to work 45-60 hours a week as well as go to school full-time, to assist keeping my mother in her house. The jobs that I’ve worked include bartending, commission based sales, and financial member security. I have been paid fairly well on all of those jobs for my age; however, I didn’t love those jobs. I know my calling is technology and I want to be successful and one day have the career of my dreams constructing & programming unmanned
