Angelou's memoir also addresses the battle African Americans underwent in order to fulfill Civil Rights in the 20th century. Little Rock Nine occured when a group of nine African American students were nominated on account of their grades to attend Little Rock Central High School, the first school to desegregate.
Students, everyday go to school, and go into classes for hours, to learn. Homework is unnecessary because, when homework is assigned each and every day, it becomes extremely stressful for the students, because students might have to stay up late to finish their work. This would solve the problem of kids having little sleep because they can do all the homework that they can finish in a night and then finish what they haven’t completed the next day. Also, this helps solve the problem of getting too caught behind in a subject if they are sick because of how it gives the kid an extra day to get better if they are sick. Middle School should have more in school activity clubs When I first joined middle school I was greatly looking forward to the many in-school clubs. To my surprise, I found an extremely limited amount for middle schoolers. If we add a larger selection many students will have opportunities to express themselves freely, also they will be given time to do what they love. I know that many middle schoolers would benefit from a change like this.

However, without homework people wouldn’t remember what they learned in class. Homework gives kids the chance to prove what they have learned.
According to John Bishop, “School and homework show students the important life lessons, such as how to read and communicate with others, that they will use as an adult.” Students can learn how important planning, staying organized and taking action is just from doing homework. Homework gives the students an opportunity to learn how to work independently. Although I understand that assigning homework is not beneficial at times, I still believe that assigning homework can teach students many skills and even help teachers. Assigning homework to students is constructive, therefore teachers should assign homework because it allows students to gain responsibility, time-management, perseverance, self-esteem, homework also gives students a chance to review the class material, and it also helps teachers determine how well the lessons and materials are being understood by their students.
