Brendan Dassey, 16 years old, being tried for Rape and the murder of Teresa Halbach. The question I ask of you is: Should Brendan have been charged as an adult for committing his crimes? I believe 100% that he was correctly tried as an adult. Brendan knew what he was doing at the age of 16, and could’ve said no to doing his crimes, but he didn’t.

Brendan Dassey knew what he was doing, but he didn’t stop his actions. At the age of 16, most kids are driving and have responsibilities in life and have the common sense to know what they are doing. If he was the age of like 12 or so, that would be different. Kids at the age of 13 and younger are still learning how to operate and go through life, much less commit murder and sexual actions. Yes, I believe Steven Avery convinced him that these actions were ok and that if Brendan didn’t do them that Steven would hurt him or do something to him, but I still believe Brendan is in control of his body and actions and could have just left or stopped Steven Avery for committing these crimes as well. …show more content…

Brendan committed murder, rape and other actions with Steven Avery and both should spend their lives in prison or should receive the Death Penalty. If you murder someone and do the things these men did to Teresa, I believe you should receive the death penalty. They committed not only 1 crime, but several crimes including the worst. Murder. Steven Avery has already committed many crimes, he just needs to either rot in prison or taken out of this world. If the death penalty came more into effect now a days, there would be a lot less killing, homicides, murders, etc. Go back to the old days; eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. If you steal, one finger gets cut off. If the government would stop being terrified of hurting someone’s feelings in this society and bring back those actions, crime percentages would fall
