Modernizing Schools In this time and age the number one thing that millions of kids use is an electronic device. Being able to use a phone in a classroom would be a great way to start modernizing schools. It might seem like kids just want to have their phone out in class to play a game or go on social media, but they see them as a great way to help get work done and learn new things. Allowing a phone in class would be a great way for students to take notes, finish tests, do research and many more things.
In my opinion I strongly disagree that mobile phones should not be permitted at school. In 2012 a company named Pew Internet Project did research on teens; on the ages of teen owning mobile phones and found out that 78% of teens between the ages of 12-17 owned a mobile phone. Identifying that majority of teenagers today have a mobile phone and if given the opportunity would most likely take the mobile phone to school; by banning mobile phones from school will decrease the risk of distraction, cheating, cyber-bullying and social class status when the student is at school. A significant problem that’s in counted with allowing the access of students bringing mobile phones to school is that it distracts them and perhaps others around them.

Second, we can used the phone for searching and others etc. In school students can use tools such as calculator, maps, notes, books, google drive, calendar, and etc.
Yes, I believe that cellphones should be allowed in school. Most kids are mature enough to have their phones at school without taking out. So therefore cellphones should be allowed at school. I believe cell phones should be allowed at school because if there was an emergency you would want to call your parents and family members.

There is more than one side to the debate about the use of cell phones in schools. One claim is that cell phones should be completely banned in school. Schools across America, for various reasons, have banned cell phones. Technology is becoming a part of everyday lives in this generation, and trying to control the use of smart phones has proven to be incredibly hard. Taking cell phones completely out of the hands of students’ throughout the school day is unreasonable. We are growing up in a different day and age where we have surrounded ourselves with technology. Students should be permitted cell phone usage in school for many reasons.

Although cell phones can be a distraction for some students, cell phones should be allowed in classrooms, but considering that cell phones can assist students with project research, they can take photos of classroom resources to save on paper waste or having to come to class at a later time to use those resources, and they save teachers from making countless copies each year. Some teachers may allow students to use their cell phones when working on certain assignments where they may be necessary or helpful. Teachers may even permit students to use their phones when they have finished all their homework and have free time left over. Many students use their phones while they are in class anyway, despite the school’s rules on the devices. If students were allowed to use their phones during class, as long as it did not cause any distractions or problems, it could benefit teachers and students alike. Cell phones, when used accordingly, can serve multiple purposes other than just texting and making phone calls.
