Should college athletes be paid? College athletes deserve to get paid. Many student athletes provide a service to their institution through their performance. Most do not have the means to know what is to live as a individual or learn how to take care of themselves so they could be ready to be out on the real world we live in. Even though some may think if colleges and universities start paying their athletes that would mean that there would be fewer teams and would make it more competitive for high school athletes to make it to the next level.
