College athlete athletes be paid because. 1.)At most colleges, college athletics are a key source of income for the university’s. Universities depend on there athletes to produce and maintain the popularity of the school's name. 2.)College athletes are suppose to be the best of the best at the university level of competition so they continue to bring the university fame and money but do not make any money and are not even allowed to make a dime off their own name. This being said, it makes no sense to me why college athletes do not get some kind of money for all the hard work they for the University they attend.

What about the hard earned money college athletes will never see? Universities should pay there college athletes. It is not fair in my eyes to these athletes that the coaches of these athletes signing contracts that have stipulations in them such as if the team has a certain record they get a bonus or if the team makes it to the post season they get a raise and on in on. This is not fair because, a lot of time when this topic comes up you will hear people that are against paying athletes say no these athletes should get paid they are getting enough by receiving a free education. If that’s the case why should coaches be allowed to receive a bonus there already making enough money? This isn’t including the fact that these athletes are putting their body through hell, I get it that these athletes are getting a free education and having a education is one thing that know man can take away from you. But what if these college athletes suffers a injury so bad that it puts them in a situation to where they cant sit at a desk every day, live a normal life, and get the most out of there education that they got for free, then what. Then there stuck in the same boat as an individual that didn’t attend college only difference is the individual that didn’t go to college
