Football is a sacred American tradition that has been cherished for decades. Recently, football has become under fire because of its injuries with focus on concussions. With all of the negativity surrounding the association, the question is beginning form: Should High School football be banned? High school football should not be banned because football can help pay for college in scholarships, football greatly improves health, and it teaches many life lessons and skills.
While football may have its disadvantages, one of its major benefits is the fact that football can pay for university. Teens who beforehand did not even consider a college a reasonable opportunity now has a chance to go to university. According to wwn scholarshipstats.com the average FBS school scholarships is 18,273 with a limit of 85 scholarships per school. Those are 85 teenagers that just got a portion if not all of their tuition payed for just for playing football.
