Do you think the juvenile system is fair ? there are many examples on how the system isn't fair in charging some kids as adults yet they aren't allowed to do adult things. There has been many examples on why not to charge kids as adults and the main reason would be there brain isn't fully developed to make certain decisions. Sometimes in many cases the killer was doing childish things and killed the victim by accident and the court will one sidedly charge the child who still needs its mom to cook them meals who still ask for money to go out and who isn't even over 15 and they still charge him as an adult. There are many reasons why they shouldn't be charged as a adults and they are lack of good decision making, Immaturity and abusive households. …show more content…

Researchers have noticed that kids are losing brain cells as they journey through their teenage years so why try them as adults kids are not adults and dont have the same decision making they see everything as games because that part of their brain is being decomposed. This matters in the way that the kids are being tried as adults yet they have done research proving their brian isn't even fully developed to make certain decisions. There are other examples like when a teenage specialist stated ¨ I have worked with teens all my life and I understand how hard it is to accept the reality that a 16 or 17 year old is capable of forming such requisite criminal intent¨ (Jennifer Jenkins). She believes that it would be hard for a teenager to plan a murder that they aren't mentally prepared to that most murders happen from accidents.
