Should students still learn about Shakespeare in classrooms around the U.S.? Shakespeare’s thoughts and themes are still conveyed through education in almost every high school around the U.S. This year My class and I had the opportunity to participate in the education of Shakespeare. In my opinion, Shakespeare still generates relevant themes, our basic vocabulary, and that high school students can still connect to. The themes and ideas of his work should and will be presented throughout the U.S. for generations to come.
Shakespeare has brought many themes to the table that I think should still be presented to the world for many generations to come. His themes of love, aspiration, and death all connect to people's everyday lives all around the world. In the play Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare provides the theme of love and power. In the play, Romeo and Juliet have a fiery love that can not be interrupted in any way. They will go to the length that is terrible just to have one another. In today's world, many people may be influenced by that. People these days wanna experience that love that they would die for. Many people may connect their love to this play. Shakespeare has written so many different pieces of writing. From love poems to death poems, the vocab is a wide variety. Grammarly.com states that Shakespeare introduced a whopping 1,700 words into the English language dictionary. All these words do sound a bit confusing and hard to understand but they all essentially are the foundation of our dialect.
