How Seriously Should Standardized Tests be Taken?
I believe that our schools are taking our test a little too seriously. I believe that they should still use the test not to decide where we end up in life, but to direct our students to where they want to be in life. The world's people and where they end up in life is all decided on a worksheet that you answer questions on. Our lives are all decided on tests, Driving tests, tests in school, etc. Its what we have been taught since we entered school. We have to pass the tests and maintain a good grade point average to get anywhere in life. For example, students may be taking an ISAT to see how much their education level has risen throughout the year, and while they are taking this test they can get test anxiety and become extremely stressed and can not think straight …show more content…

The United States’ education level has not increased by much and scholars are warning that this could lead to economic tempor “our economy has still been strong because we have a very good economic system that is able to overcome the deficiencies of our education system”. Our performance in math is what we are lacking in the most. There are 20 plus countries that are ahead of us in math education. The question “Do standardized test accurately show a student's progress in education?” gets asked a lot. These tests play a huge role in our lives but we don't know how accurate they are when it comes to the final details, So when people get test anxiety and can't cope with the stress of the test they tend to not use their full opportunity for the test, so when they don't try, the test does not work. It's not as accurate as it would be if the person was comfortable working on the test and focused on their goal for the
