Romeo + Juliet Romeo + Juliet is a film about the two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, both from the two feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Romeo is the handsome, intelligent and sensitive son of the Montagues. Juliet, a beautiful, young girl and daughter of the Capulets. After laying eyes on each other at a feast, Romeo and Juliet instantly fall in love. Because of their families they marry in secret with help from Friar Laurence. Unfortunately, Romeo kills Juliet’s cousin after a duel and is forced to leave the city and Juliet, in exchange for his life. While Romeo leaves, Juliet is forced to marry Paris. But with help from Friar Laurence, Juliet fakes her death. After drinking a potion, she appears to be dead and a funeral is held. Romeo on the other hand, is sent a letter explaining the plan. But he never gets the letter and believes that Juliet is dead, as a friend of him saw the funeral. Out of temper and frustration Romeo rushes to the church where Juliet lays. On his way he gets hold of a deadly poison and as he arrives to the church he swallows it, thinking Juliet is dead. Dying, Romeo lays down next to Juliet just as she wakes up. When Juliet finds out that Romeo is dead she kills herself with a gun. …show more content…

It is believable and easy to follow, even though I was a little bit confused in the beginning. Considering I haven’t seen the movie before and didn’t know it was a modernized version, I was a bit surprised when the whole film started with a gunfight. I also didn’t know that there were two families fighting against each other, but I gradually understood more as we got further into the
