Totalitarian states and Constitutional governments have many differences. First of all a totalitarianism is a government that takes total control of everyone and everything that is under its rule. Now for the differences… a totalitarian state uses violence to get what they want. They would use the police to be there for criminal activity and to keep everyone in place by doing what they are suppose to do. The police would sometimes spy on some of the citizens to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to do and sometimes they will do this just to intimidate them.
