Simon the Serf was an average peasant in the great town of Great Bexley. Until the Bubonic Plague came from a ship with moldy, yellow toothed sailors, and killed his wife and millions of others. Here's how it all started. It was a Tuesday morning, Simon has just woken at 5:30am. Simon got his daily small serving of bread and cheese, and started towards the farm. Simon's wife, Bartha, woke a little after at about 6 o’clock and ate some cheese and bread and started towards the farm. Simon’s daughter Marilyn, woke up at 7 o’clock and started to milk the cow so they would have cheese and milk for the next day after she ate. Simon and his wife finished working on the farm and had gotten all of the grain into the sacs to bring in, even though Simon had to pay the manor in grain they still had a half of a bag full. The next day Simon walked outside and bodies were everywhere… Simon realized that there was a great sickness upon them. Simon had to get out and warn the people of the next city. Simon got his daughter and walked to the next city, he brought some food, water, and spare clothing the next city was 10 miles away. Simon and Marilyn walked all day and night. They were about a mile away from the city, when Marilyn collapsed, and started coughing blood. Simon knew right away she had the sickness, Simon prayed. Simon said his goodbyes, and right there, Marilyn died.
