The people behind the scene who took care of the soldiers were as important to the people who were fighting in the front lines. The heritage minute clip on the Nursing Sister is effective, although it only highlights two nurses, in particular, Eleanor Thompson and Eden Pringle, the true meaning is to recognize the contributions of all the Canadian women who volunteered as nurses during the First World War. This paper will examine the purpose of the clip, how the event contributed to Canadian identity and accurate representation of Canadian history. Nursing Sisters video demonstrates a clear objective of what the meaning behind this particular heritage minute clip is. Prior to the 19th century, women becoming nurses was considered unacceptable,
I can contribute my knowledge of social justice and ability to be a community servant to this organization. My long-term life goal is to become a hospital owner in multiple underrepresented areas and foreign countries. Being a community servant, one can build character while helping open doors or provide opportunities for those who are less fortunate. I’ve read the many articles of the large groups of Alpha men graduating from Meharry Medical College, that have had such a huge impact on the surrounding communities by giving a helping hand when needed. It’s the small things that count and makes me eager to join the previous groups of male leaders striving to achieve their goals, which defy all odds against
I have been able to integrate the skills and values I have learned at DePaul to my professional affairs. Throughout my time at DePaul, I have also been a high school baseball coach for Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy. From my experience at DePaul, I have incorporated skills that include team management focused on leadership development, interpersonal communication, personal accountability, patience, and development. In Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy first baseball season, I was able to lead our team to a winning record and a playoff win. As a result of this experience, I believe that my skills would help in assisting the YMCA mission to develop strong children, families, and communities.
There was a time when I can help student understand the concept better during school and it help them get their grades better. These leadership help me impact a positive change to not just me but to people who wanted
I Want To Be a Web Leader because I love kids, and want to make the 5th graders confidence and less nervous for middle school. I know when i was in 5th grade the web leaders were very helpful, and they were my friends. I know when they would walk down the hall they would always stop and help me, and i want to help the new 5th graders too.

Since the fourth grade, I have known that one job I was sent on this earth to do was to lead. I have been a captain for 2 years on my elementary school step team, assistant choreographer of the dance/ cheer team at my church, one year captain on my middle school step team, choreographer for my dance class, and 2 years of experience on the Bailadoras officer line. Throughout my years of leadership experience, I have learned a lot to make my role on this team stronger. A skill I have aquired is patience, which at times is hard with teenage girls with multiple different personalities, but is important to have, for very little can get done without it. I am optimistic and a great encourager.
I am qualified for being an Outdoor School counselor since I have a great energy and a passion for working with students. I consider myself a charismatic leader in everything that I do. For instance, I volunteer to coach a girl’s softball team for Richland Area Softball Association (RASA), which has given me an opportunity to learn and grow as both a leader, and as an individual. It has put me in a hefty position of leadership, which I have taken in full stride since I’ve begun coaching the team. Every practice, I watch over the team to see if the girls are where they should be in order to maximize their athletic potential, but to also ensure their safety as they play.
I have held several leadership roles over the past few years, in which I have learned a great deal. I currently serve in Hickman's student government and I am the founder/president of the Philosophy Club. In addition, I am a student helper for the Smithton Band under the direction of Mr. Moorman and Mrs. Collins. I
I have attended several leadership camps and seminars, but there is always room for improvement in regards to leadership abilities. Having a higher leadership role than what I already have will significantly improve my knowledge of leadership and better refine the leadership skills that I already have. There are a lot of
I have leadership skills that are portrayed at school, at church and at after school activities. I also should be in it because of my strong character and how I can work in a team. I have never gotten a MRI or an ODR, always thinking about helping others and cheering them up. Also I try to be a good influence on everyone by behaving and being gentle. Also, I like helping my team and treating everyone equally.
Hi, I am Zack Donovan. Currently I am a 7th grader, soon to be 8th grader. I am very interested in joining next years leadership class. I will be be a good addition to this class for multiple reasons. For example, I am good at leading, staying organized, and many more.
Acquiring leadership skills along with a strong character and the sense to serve others is vital. A leader should be resourceful, dependable, selfless, and a good problem solver. I have led in many ways- inside and outside of school. Last year as a tenth grader, I was class secretary for Class Council.
Why are you motivated to pursue this position? I believe making a positive difference to the lives of others especially children is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. Furthermore, being able to coordinate, organise and reach out to others to do the same would be an amazing and unique opportunity. Having been a peer mentor in the first year of Victoria’s gifted outreach program, tutoring maths and science to primary school students from disadvantaged schools in rural areas, I truly believe that I could use my experience not just for one on one work with students but to also coordinate this growing Leo’s program. We coordinated camps, online lessons and assignments as well as in person tutor groups which were well received by
Teachers are the life-blood of school districts across the United States. They are masters of their specific grade-level content and work tirelessly to manage the learning and well-being of their students. Teachers are the academic leaders of the learning environment within their classrooms and collaborate with their students throughout the year in order to facilitate learning, and foster creativity and problem solving. However, over the last thirty years, teacher leadership has taken on a whole new meaning.
