I really want to become involved with any type of student leadership that is available. Over the past year I have been excited to come to school every day because I have to opportunity to be around and talk to so many great people. I definitely want to leave my mark on the community of students and make a positive impact on the school and students. I have developed skills in leadership and responsibility that I want to utilize to make the school a better place for others. 11.
Through trial and error, I have learned how to effectively incorporate these values into my daily life, to be seen as an influential figure. My main area of leadership is through sports. I have coached kids in lacrosse and hockey youth programs and shown what it means to be a dedicated player at a higher level. Additionally, I have been a JV captain for sports such as volleyball and hockey.
Being a fairly shy person, it can be difficult to step out of my comfort zone and lead, but I like to think that I am a valuable leader when I step up. In middle school, I have had a great deal more leadership opportunities than in high school as I am only a sophomore, but I am actively seeking leadership roles in the classroom and activities I participate in. Holding a position as a club officer for Cub Club throughout my 7th and 8th grade years has taught me a great deal about what it means to truly be a leader. Leadership requires responsibility, commitment to doing the best you can for your community and the people you lead, and overcoming obstacles. During my time as a club officer, we partnered with Children’s Village, first when we did the Christmas toy drive, then when we went through training to volunteer with the kids.
I have pride in my work and perform to the best of my ability. My drive and desire to put forth the most possible effort is constant in other aspects of my life and not just in my school work
Numerous people have recommended me to be an amazing role model for the others around me. Various of my school projects were used as examples for other students and will be used throughout the upcoming school years. People depend on me in the classroom, and I follow through by helping them. I lead groups with my friends to study for subjects we’re having trouble with. I lead children in my after school care program to do activities, or when they can’t figure out how to play games fairly.
As a dedicated student community member, I am eager to run for Student Body President to foster a more inclusive, engaged, and proactive campus environment. During my time here, I have made it a mission to always be available for service and maintain pleasant, comfortable relationships with my peers. The practice has honed my public speaking and negotiation skills, essential for effectively representing our student body's interests. My personal leadership philosophy is more compassionate than I realized. As shown in Exercise one, which analyzes if you focus more on being power-oriented, achievement-oriented, and concerned with human welfare. My scores for that exercise came out to be: Column One- 18, Column Two- 29, and Column Three- 25. This means I have a strong concern for human welfare than being power-oriented and achievement-oriented, but I am more achievement-oriented than power-oriented. This was interesting as I always thought I was power-oriented because I like to be in charge and not bossed around.

I am applying to join the Leadership Development Programme primarily because I wish to be able to teach and inspire students from all walks of life. The Teach First mission speaks volumes to my own morals and goals. I believe that all children, no matter their socioeconomic background nor the area that they live, should go without an excellent education. As the programme boasts having a direct link between it and improved GCSE results in the schools that it has worked with, it strikes me as not only being worthwhile for my own personal growth, but that of any children that it would give me the opportunity to teach. While expecting it to be a tough route to take, I feel like the programme will challenge those who undertake it to be the best
Openness: With a moderately high score on openness (33 out of 50), I possess a curious, original, intellectual, and creative nature. I embrace novelty and enjoy exploring new ideas and perspectives. This inclination towards openness allows me to approach problem-solving with a fresh and innovative mindset. I find that I can think outside the box and generate unique solutions by considering unconventional approaches. However, I also recognize the importance of routines and structure in maintaining stability and efficiency within the organization.

I would try to get more people involved in art and have clear goals for the group so that one remains well organized, self-motivated and inspire each other every day to raise awareness on environmental issues. Whatever we do, where ever we live, we are all connected to art in some way or the other.
April and May are sort of a blur to me except for one thing. After losing clumps of my hair and crying every day and feeling so alone. I withdrew from class. I decided I was done. I hated it so much.
Leadership Statement I pride myself in being a good listener, and this has helped in all the leadership roles I held throughout my life thus far. I have experienced democratic leaderships through being a part of groups in college for class presentations, being a choir leader in my church, being a volunteer in a few projects, at my place of work and also as being a part of my family. The attributes of being a good leader has expanded with time through these experiences.
