I want to enroll in Pre-AP English because I think it could help me in several of ways. This can help attain my goals because it helps me receive a higher gpa. I plan to contribute to Maricopa High School community by joining student council, if I join student council I would be involved in more things and can help at any events, I am committed to go above and beyond and I am self-motivated to do anything necessary. Skills that I have that are essential for advanced placement include someone who will try their best every day, someone who will go above and beyond in completing their assignments and are respectful and responsible.
The President 's Leadership Academy is an opportunity for students who do not settle for the regular curriculum and aspire to become involved servant-leaders through experiential learning, workshops, and classes. The mission of the PLA is to give BGSU students the opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills through a curriculum based on the concept of servant leadership. This way, these young adults may be able to grow in their leadership abilities and contribute to society both while in school and after graduation. I am particularly interested in being a part of the PLA because of my joy for servant leadership. In my high school career I have assumed many leadership positions.
I want to be a New Leaders Council fellow because I am impressed by the career building opportunities that it provides to its fellows. I am at a point in my career where I must continue to build my network to further develop my career. I am interested in the opportunity to learn from others experiences and share in ways that can help to build others. I am impressed that the New Leaders Council represents is a collective of changemakers that are prepared to address the complexities in society. In review of the website, I am excited to see the curriculum designed to develop leaders in several areas including: communications, fundraising, and political management.
As a rising senior, I want to join the Ladders for Leaders program in order to obtain an opportunity to participate in a paid professional summer internship. This program will allow me to gain more experience in the professional world. I hope that this program will help me further explore my interests so I can have a better understanding of what I want to do in the future. There are not a lot of opportunities given to high school students in terms of internships and work opportunities. We are not taught the necessary skills required for the workplace.

Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. Leader in Training Application Essay Ever since I was younger I always looked up to my cabin leaders and all the other staff and leaders around the camp and knew that was what I wanted to do one day. It’s always been a goal of mine to get to go lead cabins and share and teach people more about Jesus. This would be my 7th year at camp and I think it would be so great to get to go and teach kids about how awesome having a relationship with Christ is and to get to learn and grow in my relationship with him as well. It would be amazing getting to go and build relationships with some great people while getting to learn and grow in my faith.
I have been working on growing from a lecturer to an educator, and over the last three years, I realized that teaching can be very rewarding, but can also be intimidating as there were many instances where I had to extensively read to be able to respond to some of the seemingly easy questions that I had no answers to. I want to be able to facilitate learning by creating an environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and active engagement while continuously reflecting and adapting to improve my teaching practices. Besides education, my aim is to be a good leader, one who inspires others with a clear vision, challenges the status quo, and fosters a positive culture that enables others to act. My main message involves empowerment, which started with a small project I led called “Lokmat Aysh”, a bakery in a small village in Lebanon, for women who lost their partners during the war, currently supporting around twenty women for eight years, to organizing three national, free medical days that offered basic health screening and physical examinations for the underserved population in my country. During my second year of residency, I was at cross-roads on what comes after, until I was called for an impromptu meeting with my program director informing me that I was selected as a chief resident for the upcoming academic year.
I want to see strong leadership become apparent in the lives of my students; however, I will not see this to the extent that I want unless I “sell” it to them with the same passion that the importance of leadership has on me. In order for me to see excellent leadership produced I must be in front to show what proper leadership is by example. Self-leadership assessment is an important exercise in understanding the basic qualities that each individual has that could make them good or bad leaders for any organization. The use of contemporary theories of leadership to assess the suitability of the individuals for a given task is very important in understanding the leadership abilities of everyone, using self-assessment tool called Seven Habits Profile. Through this, individuals are able to learn about their strengths and weakness, based on their score. For this assignment, I will conduct personal leadership assessment through the seven habits profile, as well as to underscore the strengths and weaknesses of the results (Dionneet al., 2004). “If excellence is possible, then good is not enough!” This was my seventh grade math teacher’s mantra. Her encouragement of excellence and love of teaching was one of the biggest influences in my decision to become a teacher. The other great influence in my career choice was my diagnosis of dyslexia in the second grade. School became a place that I strongly disliked and I oftentimes was discouraged due to the fact that everything was a struggle to me.
1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. I consider myself a leader, i believe this because i am the type of person that feels like if i am not the one to do it then it will not be done the right way. Whenever i would work in groups i would designate myself to be the one to do the harder assignment, because i only trusted that would take it serious, not anyone else. Also, whenever i do anything that involves a team, i like to take control, because i feel like i am the best one to work under pressure or i can choose the best solution for any situation.
Most importantly, since the contents of this course are largely different from what I have learned in my major courses. I regard this as a rare opportunity for me to take on some new challenges, and I would like to take a chance to develop my leadership skills. Before attending this course, “leadership” is a word quite far away from me, and I only have some basic understandings of it. And I found out that most of my thoughts I had about leadership are very different from what it really is.
