Forgetting About the Core Business–After restructuring in 2010 company has been on a growth spiral has started to enter in different areas to generate revenue. Company while continue to grow need to keep in mind regarding the core business which has been rides and constant improvement of it Is the most important task.

Competitors – Though the major competition for Six Flags is not with other competitors in the same segment, but it faces threats from other sources of entertainment like movies, beach, sporting events, destination resort, Xbox, i-pod, social media sites like Facebook or Myspace.

Maintenance of Sales and profits – This is an industry where holding on to a customer is very difficult due to lack of interest after doing the activities …show more content…

It is an industry that requires a good amount on promotion to keep the audience updated. It is important to make sure that new and old customers become a regular visitor to the park for fun activities. Thus holding on to these customers becomes difficult when they are constantly barraged by the competitors and potential threats when it is reaching towards its prime stage.

Cash and Resource Management – Six Flags needs to have a healthy profit on its financial statements to attract investors while going towards prime. It must shore up cash reserves to meet all obligations to handle any emergencies situations e.g. they are prone to lawsuits from customers in case of an accident. Cash management is also important when cash is moving slowly and creditors are rigid.

Uncertainty – There might be global debt and economic struggles, which result in very uncertain scenarios. Six Flags may have a short term focus if sale is not happening, but may miss the bigger picture. It must learn to balance the need to for a short term focus with need for informed, long term strategies if the company needs to stay in its
