The social injustice I chose is police brutality against blacks/people of color. Police officers are using excessive force, and in many cases resulting in deaths. Due to the police field being primarily white, its looked at as a racial attack on non-whites. Due to the racial difference, it looks as though communities with a high amount of colored people are being targeted to brutalize, harass, and be murdered by police. There are reports with evidence of police killing, and issuing beatings that are uncalled for in cases, such as traffic stops, pools, etc.
You might have heard of many social justices, but you probably don’t know exactly what they are. This essay will show you two examples of people who brought social justice to our world. The biography, “Mother Jones” by Judith Josephson is about a woman, Mary “Mother” Jones who lead a march to fight injustices against the mill children who were treated unfairly and got almost to no pay. Similarly, “About Cesar”, the biography, by the Cesar Chavez Foundation,(CCF), was about Cesar Chavez who fought for the rightful treatment of farm workers. These beacons of justice were both fighters for workers’ rights.
Social justice is often strived for by society. It is a necessary force in allowing humankind to coexist. However, the individual also has to play a role in maintaining social justice. The role of the individual is stated in the texts Fahrenheit 451 and “The Pedestrian” by Ray Bradbury and “Letter From Birmingham Jail” by Martin Luther King Jr. by illustrating the consequences of not participating in the monitoring of justice.

The Progressive Era, from 1890- 1920 was an influential time in American history. There was political reform in an effort to bring about social justice, but it was also a time when big businesses thrived. However, in the past their prominence and power went unchecked, now liberal radicals started fighting for justice, making the government control the corporations before they destroyed the country. With big businesses growing at a quick pace, they needed more management, known as middle management, to control it. Alfred Chandler, a business professor, specifically a economist, analyzes this in chapter eight, “Mass Production” from his book, The Visible Hand: The Managerial Revolution in American Business.
In the world right now, there is still inequality for all. People are criticized everyday because of how they look, speak, dress, act, etc. In America, although there is people that are changing, there with always be that small group of people that won’t change their views on what they believe is right and wrong in our society. You can also see this in the book, To Kill A Mockingbird, written by author, Harper Lee. All throughout the novel, you can see how white people are superior to the African Americans that live in the same town.

Farmer’s articulation of social justice would look like in practice as innovation. Social justice would be to work the poor, providing a dignified service to people who are oppressed in a certain way. It involves that all sectors of society are truly committed to achieve high-quality care in order reach the objective of providing the fundamental human right of appropriate health care. Social justice requires in practice that people will always try to change something, that there are always flaws that need to be changed in order to be effective while providing social justice. Through my experience volunteering at a free clinic in San Diego, I can put in practice Farmer’s idea of social justice.
This unjust society not only hurts individuals within it, it hurts itself. First of all, I would like to introduce what social justice means to me. Social justice doesn’t mean just equality, but justice or equity. Nobody is the same and some people need more help than others. For example, there is one person who is left handed and one right handed. There should be notebooks with the spiral on the left and some on the right, so they both can have an opportunity.
Social Injustice is a situation when some unfair practices are being carried in society. Everyday someone is beat, raped, or crying for help in Afghanistan. This is what life has become in Afghanistan after the government has been overtaken. Social injustice is a major problem in Afghanistan. In today's diverse and multicultural societies, an understanding of what social justice is might be considered pivotal and essential for the numerous encounters and relationships that every day take place in the world. However, one's vision of social justice might differ from the concept of it held by another individual, as it can be argued that the fundamental notion of an equal and socially fair justice could be influenced by several factors, such as an individual’s own moral principles and ethics, alongside with their acknowledgement of the society and of the world they live in. In spite of this, a broad, general idea of what social justice is might nonetheless be offered, and throughout this paper, I intend to explore on this socially constructed idea of justice, which, as explained by Adams and Bell (2016), should be equal, democratic, inclusive and respectful of all people, and accommodate, therefore, for their needs. Furthermore, I will also be looking at the understanding of the concept of social justice within the educational context.
