Terrorism is perpetually being committed and is harming innocent lives. Todays terroristic acts include suicide bombings, kidnappings, mass shootings, and many more different forms of this crime. The causes of these violent acts are varied, but it is evident that they are constant, with terrorists being merciless, finding many different ways to perform these acts that are performed for greed and attention.
The merciless acts of terrorism has been a part of this world for centuries. For example, in the article “The History of Terrorism,” by Amy Zalman states that, “During the 1st century CE, the Jewish Zealots in Judaea Province rebelled, killing prominent collaborators with Roman rule,” (Zalman). This shows how far back this crime has gone and when and where it all first started. In the article “Death toll of Al Qaeda attacks: more than 4,400 lives” by The Economist states that, ”Between 1992 and 2008 the terrorist network perpetrated 31 attacks with a toll of more than 4,400 lives, many of them Islamic.” (“Death toll of …show more content…

For evidence in the article “Ideologies of Violence: The Social Origins of Islamist and Leftist Transnational Terrorism” by Kristopher Robinson states that, “Terrorists use a variety of methods to achieve their objectives, including airplane hijacking, the bombing of public buildings, bombing of airplanes, assassination of prominent public figures, kidnapping, torture of public figures, and hostage taking” (Robison). Moreover, these different forms provide more ways to kill innocent lives. As an example, “On October 12, 2000, Al-Qaeda carried out the USS Cole bombing, a suicide bombing of the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole harbored in the Yemeni port of Aden,” (Zalman). Similarly, these evildoers will even sacrifice their own people to suicide bomb places. Terrorists will stop at nothing and perform any type of crime that they can think of to fulfill their plan of
