My topic for research report is about Human Service. In my paper, I tackled the brief overview of this field. I provided information about prerequisite data such as characteristics social workers need to have, pros and cons of this profession, and required experience. There’s education, which talks about the different kind of certification and degrees students can take at Central New Mexico Community College, and transferring details to a four-year institution. I also included career opportunities and the job descriptions for different types of social workers. Lastly, I made a median-salary range for social workers in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and how it differs to other states. When I heard that we will be given the chance to revise one of the papers that we wrote, there’s an immediate light bulb that pops in my head. I instantly knew it’s going to be Outlook of Social-Working Field. I wasn’t entirely proud of this academic paper, even though, it’s nine-pages long. I personally feel there’s something missing. It’s very tedious and detailed, I’m aware very few people would have the patience to scroll through it and absorbed everything. In the next page, there’s a quote behind a city that says, “It takes guts to be a social worker.” This serves as a chaser in between the abundant informative readers need to process. In my research report, I didn’t have the luxury to put a breaker between the torrent of details I have to tackle. It’s a continuous flow of data that will overwhelm any reader.
