At a young age I experienced homelessness. My mother could not afford the rent for our apartment which resulted in us being evicted. It was unpleasant not knowing when things were going to be better and where I was going to lay my head at night. "Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better". this quote is by Dr. Steve Maraboli. It reminds me that times are not going to always be unfortunate they have a bigger purpose. My purpose is a greater education. With an education I can Solidify a lifestyle for myself. My current goals is graduating from Alabama State University with a 4.0 gpa and my masters degree in physical therapy. This goal could be made possible the CBCF’s support. …show more content…
I am also involved in multiple extracurricular activities such as, track and field, varsity cheerleading, student government, and lastly thespians; and held leadership roles as SGA vice President and co captain. I have performed in numerous productions and 10 competitions with Florida State thespians. I have also received other accolades such as a best of show award for the one act “Baby”, breaking my school history, and helping pass the hb303 religious liberties act. Notably, The academic program that I wish to peruse is physical therapy. Being a physical therapist is rewarding because your helping elderly people or victims in accidents. The relationships you develop with your patients are family like. The overall feeling knowing that you are really making a difference in someone’s life is a remarkable feeling and with being a physical therapist I would achieve that. being t new person I encounter with an open mind.
